Felt like I was along for the ride! (Not sure if I was an awkward 3rd wheel or a snoopy fly on the wall??? 😝 but it was so fun to come along!) thanks for sharing all the things!
Latin America has my whole heart and I KNEW you would love Colombia. Also I always hear the song from Encanto in my head about Colombia. We spent our 3rd?! Anniversary in Cartagena and were obsessed.
You two are the absolute cutest and I will 100% read your travelogues any day of the week! I especially love the no-holds-barred honesty vis-a-vis what's worth the moolah and the time. 10/10!
Loved reading this. We are spending the next few years in Latin America and are likely starting 2025 in Columbia! I think we'll be in Santa Marta, considering a few other cities before we get there, so thanks for your insight 😊
NO WAY! WOWOWOWO. What are y'all doing? Traveling? Working? Living? What an adventure!! So excited for you. Add Guatamala to your list! My FAVE country in Central America and happy to send recs✨
Send all the recs!!! We are a nomadic family, did 8 months in Europe last year as a bit of a trial. Now, it's our new lifestyle. Mainly just living, but would love to leverage our passions to contribute to a better world in some way. We are former teachers, I work remotely a little in the nonprofit space, but we mainly just live and experience different ways of life and raise our boys (3 and 4) while we attempt to pursue community.
We tend to spend no less than a month in each city, so any cities you'd take your boys to for an extended time - I'd LOVE to know. 😁
💯💯💯 And surely you've seen the studies about how good it is for Grandparents to spend time with their grand kids? Like, I AM JUST BEING A SERVANT HEARTED DAUGHTER HERE YOU GUYS 😇🤣
SO glad you chose Colombia, and most notably Cartagena. Crepes and Waffles is 100% the Cheesecake Factory of Colombia--I never would have thought of that comparison, but i'm totally stealing it. I'm trying to figure out how to convince my husband to take me somewhere in Colombia that isn't Cartagena, but my mother in law won't love that if we're in her country but not her house LOL! But I'm referencing your fun finds WHEN it happens.
LOL wait why don't you want to stay with your MIL the entire time?? 😜 Happy travels and I hope you get your dreamy trip one of these days!!! Show him the reel from Bosko! That's got to get him, right??
Thank for helping make my trip so dreamy!!!! xoxoxoxoxo
I adore my MIL. But eternal spring. Island getaways. Dreamy. Maybe when the baby is bigger, she can have abuela time for a couple days, and we will sneak off ;)
honestly THIS is the hack of all life hacks! Our littles were with three grandparents while we were gone who all shared Grandparent Camp duties and honestly, they didn't want us to come home. When you are lucky enough have great grandparents, it is hard to compete okay 😜🙌🏽
YUEAH!! I LOVE to hear we share criteria! K -- given this similarity, what is your #1 favorite place you and your hubby have been??? Already dreaming about our next trip....
I’m truly not just saying this because you are you, but Uganda. The hospitality and people won completely won our hearts. We made friends for life in a quick 10 days. Beautiful people, and beautiful landscape. Completely sobbed like a crazy person the entire time we were in the airport leaving.
We have a Spring trip booked to Vietnam which we’re very excited for!
Honestly, I could not agree more!! I've been more times than I can count but there is so much more I want to explore. I am usually so focused on KLA that I just have left so much unexplored!!
This most recent trip to UG I look we stayed at Mohingo lodge. Have you been? One of my favorite places I have EVER STAYED ANYWHERE. (I even decorated my bedroom to make me feel like I am there all the time lol.)
PLZ PLZ PLZ share detes on Vietnam when you have them! It's a top three for me!! xoxo
We did stay there!!! The delivered morning coffee on the patio of our glamping tent is a core memory of me. It was unreal. The scenery of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is out of this world. If you’re ever in Bwindi, Gorilla Leisure Lodge is a true gem.
Will most definitely share Vietnam details!!
OMG you NAILED Mohingo in your bedroom!! Now if only you could figure out how to have the indoor-but-sort-of-outdoor bathroom situation. 😂
Honestly, you had me at fried cheese balls. SIGN ME UP. Also, every time I read Cartegena I thought of the movie "Romancing the Stone." You and Ben can cosplay as Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner. ;)
It really sounds like you enjoyed yourself, I felt like we were along on the trip! Jeanene is going to be suspicious of the “best ceviche ever” over the one on the boat in the ocean, she’ll have to take your word.

HAHAHAHAHA. Just FTR, I’d take you as a third wheel ANNNNNNY day of the week. Better yet, DOUBLE DATE!

I need to know where you are going next😃 (Also, ARE WE GOING TO THAILAND TOGETHER?)
I think we are going to Thailand together!!!! Gotta figure out dates and childcare and my pesky job but it’s definitely my highest hope for 2025!
Going to Jamaica in January with my childhood besties for our 40th

Leaving my kids behind to adventure with Andrew is one of my very most favorite things 😂😂😂

Pretty sure I wrote those studies

Sounds dreamy!! And definitely catching my attention! You guys look amazing! And Feliz Aniversario!! Bravo!!
AW THANK YOU!!! Love celebrating anniversaries so much. Like yes WE DID IT! WE ARE DOING IT! WE SHOULD KEEP DOING IT! 💪🏼🤣
Let me know if you ever make your way down there! In the meantime, thanks for being here! Hope to get to know you more.
xoxoxo.
My husband and I have the same travel criteria! Columbia looks amazing. So great you two could have such a wonderful time celebrating!

YAY!!! Cannot WAIT to hear about Vietnam! And YES to the core memory of that coffee delivery. I mean, won't ever forget it!
